It’s Wednesday!!

So …. today saw me heading up the M6 again to Eden Boys School in Bolton – before I forget … BEST CAKES EVER!!! (Were I to grade my visits to schools based on the cakes this one is 10/10!! … I don’t do that though!! No … seriously I don’t)

The trip was pretty uneventful and I’d left with time to spare and so I was feeling pretty chilled – I pulled into one of the services that has a drive-through Starbucks, wound my window down ordered my coffee, collected it and then went off to join the motorway that was now moving at a snails pace whilst roadworks are going on. I joined the traffic and was pootling along listening to radio 2 (don’t ask!!) and singing along to the tunes when the above song came on; as I was nodding my head, and singing the chorus really loudly the traffic had ground to a stop (we’d been moving about 3 miles per hour!) and after about a minute and a half  I looked to my right to find some bloke in his convertible car nearly crying with laughter at my singing and “sitting down dancing”!! Yep … I’d left the flipping window wound down! So if that was you on the motorway today … I’m sorry and as I said: “it could’ve been worse … you could’ve had to listen to my singing for the next 2 hours!!”

(For those of you reading this on your phone or on email where the link doesn’t show:… the song is Jermaine Stewart: We don’t have to take our clothes off! Yep … you know it! Bet you’re singing along right now?!?!?)

Having arrived at the school I thought … well that’s my “thing” for today over and done with! I nipped to the loo before the meeting and as I straightened the lining on my dress (blokes: some dresses have a lining inside them … haven’t a clue why but they do!) I felt the lining get tangled on something – thought it was my tights – as I tried to untangle it I could feel something actually trapped between the lining and the dress … Oh bugger I thought … how embarrassing, its a pair of tights or even worse (!!) but nope!! It was a flipping polishing cloth that had somehow got embroiled with my dress in the washing machine!! I have no idea how I didn’t notice this in the previous 4 hours!

. Post Script: It wasn’t radio 2 it was “smooth” as I was scanning stations for a traffic update!
