A bit of a cliché for pi day is to teach something circle related, so I guess that means I’m a cliché.
I’m going to start the lessons with the circumference version (here) of one of my “Follow me” worksheets and then I’m putting together a “whodunnit” worksheet working up to finding the radius and diameter given either area or circumference. We’ll then finish the lesson with the area “follow me” worksheet (here).
I like the combination of these two sheets as I find the students need to have something to remember the formula for circumference and area. So at the end of the lesson apart from doing some great maths, we will have found out that “Cherry pie’s delicious” and “Apple pies are too”.
