This one is better than falling asleep last week on the train because it all happened in public … I swear I am a complete and utter knob at times!
This morning I was at one of the Pearson collaborative network meetings and thought: “ooh I like that NAVY LINEN dress” that one of the women was wearing …. I then thought: “oh I like it because its the same as the one I’m wearing” TBH it looked better on her than me!! I didn’t say a word and near the end as she was leaving I thought I’d make a joke about it. The conversation went a little like this:
Me: Next time I’ll text you and we can coordinate our outfits.
Her: umm … umm ** looking confused*
Me: and we can make sure we’re not wearing the same dress
She then seemed to rush off to wherever she was going.
I packed up my stuff and when Chris from Brine Leas was escorting me out I looked down and noticed that I wasn’t wearing the dress I thought I was wearing!!! I didn’t wear my navy dress today!! The one I was wearing was grey!! The stupid thing is that at no point did I even look down to check the colour of the dress I had on.
What an ABSOLUTE muppet!! I am sat here cringing with embarrassment!!
So if that was you today … I am soooo sorry for any embarrassment but seriously the dress looks better on you than me!

It was not as bad as wearing two different shoes ( luckily both black) – only noticed it when I saw my lovely year 11 s looking at each other and one nice young girl whispering to me ‘ miss I think you’ve got the wrong shoes ‘! Did some quick thinking and said it was doctors recommendation for some foot problem – am not sure they believed it!

My embarrassing moments happened when I was pregnant- like walking around Tesco not realising why people were giving me very strange looks.
Of course- I had on my feet- one blue court shoe and a one white sandal- I know I could use the excuse that my bump meant I couldn’t see what was on my feet- but one was flat and one had a heel!
And there was me thinking I was really good for getting up early on a Saturday morning and getting shopping out of the way!
Not sure I should say the other one….
