The advance information from the exam boards has been published and so we are truly on the final stretch to the first Summer exams since 2019. If you are looking for the information for your specific exam board they can be found here (make sure you use the one for the correct exam board as they are different!!)

Following the publication we had a conversation about how best to support our students and one of the ideas we came up with was “Take 5” which is 5 questions (as it turns out some of them may only have 3 questions or as many as 10) pulled together in some form of ascending difficulty to give them the opportunity to practice the skill/topic. The questions have primarily been taken from older papers so they shouldn’t interfere with any final mocks that are taking place and are also not under any padlocks. I tweeted the idea and the response was phenomenal  … a colleague is working on pulling some together for the Higher tier and so I thought I’d share more widely. In terms of the question choice some of you may have chosen different questions, thats ok … having spent the last 4 and a bit years working with the Kangaboys writing revision guides (there is now a Key Stage Two one too …. check them out … www.justaroo.co.uk ) I  know that what questions we’d write today for a specific topic may not always be the ones that we’d do a few months later. … remember no one is forcing you to use them … they’re there if you want to!

This post will be updated with w/sheets on an ongoing basis and the Higher tier will be added shortly … I’ll also make it a “sticky” post at the top of the blog until the Summer exams are done.

I also used the money worksheet in after school revision on Monday and it worked really well with students. THERE IS A MASSIVE HEALTH WARNING HERE : There is no guarantee that a specific topic will be examined this way in the summer and students cannot rely on it to limit their revision in terms of not mixing up topics but something is better than nothing for some students!

THE BELOW IS A TRUNCATED TABLE FOR HIGHER AS IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND SO IS NOT THE COMPLETE ADVANCED INFORMATION FOR HIGHER   … ALSO SEE THE ABOVE HEALTH WARNING!!!

As always, may or may not be useful. I’ve done Pearson/Edexcel as thats the board we use (we use them for lots of reasons but that’s a whole other blog post) Now if someone wants to do similar for AQA and OCR … happy to host here too …. mail me … if you’re serious you’ll find my email address!

Have a I said “read the above Health Warning”?

PS: For JustMaths Online I’ve already set up a folder in revision / exam prep and they will appear in there first. As usual I’ll add an update to the homepage when I do this.Â
